8 COMMENDING REPRESENTATIVE BECKY NORDGREN FOR
9 DISTINGUISHED LEGISLATIVE SERVICE.

11 WHEREAS, we note with utmost admiration and
12 appreciation the distinguished service of our friend and
13 colleague, Representative Becky Nordgren, who has diligently
14 served the citizens of the State of Alabama and House District
15 29 in Calhoun, DeKalb, and Etowah Counties; and
16 WHEREAS, becoming a member of the Alabama State
17 House of Representatives in 2010, Representative Nordgren was
18 actively involved in the legislative process through her
19 varied responsibilities; and
20 WHEREAS, Representative Nordgren holds a Bachelor of
21 Arts Degree from The University of Alabama; she served on the
22 Economic Development and Tourism Health Committee as Vice
23 Chairwoman, the Health Committee, and the State Government
24 Committee; she is a member of Gadsden Church of Christ, the
25 Alabama Autism Council, the Alabama Republican Executive
26 Committee, the Etowah County Republican Committee, the Etowah
27 County Republican Women's Association, Alabama's Women's

1 Commission, and the 4-H Board; she currently serves as the
2 Revenue Commissioner for Etowah County; and
3 WHEREAS, dedicated to her family, Representative
4 Nordgren and her husband, Eric, have three children, Eric,
5 Jr., Miles, and Millicent; and
6 WHEREAS, Representative Nordgren's commitment to
7 public service is unsurpassed; we are privileged to have
8 served with this exemplary Alabama stateswoman; now therefore,
9 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
10 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That we hereby heartily commend
11 Representative Becky Nordgren for her outstanding record of
12 service to the citizens of House District 29 and the State of
13 Alabama and for her invaluable contributions to this body over
14 the years; we direct that a copy of this resolution be
15 presented to Representative Nordgren with our highest esteem
16 and appreciation.
