In addition to recognizing the communities' decisions, the resolution calls for the Governor to develop a community-centered relocation framework with a reliable timeline and dedicated funding. It also urges Alaska's congressional delegation to restore and expand federal funding for emergency community relocation and to oppose any actions that could hinder disaster relief efforts. Furthermore, the resolution requests state and federal agencies to assist in establishing an interim village for the evacuated residents and commits to ongoing engagement with Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta communities to support their relocation needs. Copies of the resolution will be sent to key officials, including members of Congress and local tribal leaders.
