This bill establishes the first Friday of every October as "Alaska Arts and Culture Day." It aims to promote awareness and appreciation of the arts and culture within the state through various celebratory events, projects, and activities that can be organized by schools, community groups, and other public and private entities.

To implement this, a new section, AS 44.12.197, is added to the existing law, which formally designates this day and outlines its purpose. The bill also specifies that it will take effect immediately upon enactment.
