The bill establishes May 12 as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) Day of Recognition in the state of Alaska. This new observance aims to raise awareness about ME/CFS and can be marked by suitable activities and events organized by civic groups and the public.

To implement this recognition, a new section, AS 44.12.167, is added to the existing law, which formally designates May 12 each year as the designated day for this purpose. There are no deletions from current law associated with this bill.
