FOR AN ACT ENTITLED
1 "An Act relating to Arbor Day."
2 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:
3 * Section 1. AS 41.15.900 is amended to read:
4 Sec. 41.15.900. Observance of Arbor Day. To increase public awareness of
5 the vital importance of the conservation and propagation of trees and forests to the
6 everyday life of the citizens of Alaska, the third Monday in September [MAY] of
7 each year is designated "Arbor Day." It shall be observed by appropriate school
8 assemblies and programs and shall be the occasion for other suitable observances and
9 exercises by civic groups and the public in general.
