FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. LL0378
2024 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill amends criminal trespass laws and obstruction of airports and runways, obstruction of navigable water, and
obstruction of highways to add or increase criminal penalties as it relates to obstructing access to public places. While this
does add a new crime of obstruction of free passage in public places and expands components of existing criminal trespass
offenses and obstruction of airports and runways, obstruction of navigable water, and obstruction of highways offenses,
the department does not anticipate a significant impact to existing policies, procedures, or staffing and a zero fiscal note is
submitted at this time.
