FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. CSSB166(L&C)
2024 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill directs the 33rd Alaska Legislature to establish the Alaska Mental Health and Psychedelic Medicine Task Force for
the purpose of studying how psychedelic medicines could be used to address Alaska’s mental health crisis. This bill would
also direct the task force to examine how to legalize and regulate the psychedelic medicines being considered. The
Commissioner of the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development or designee would participate
as a member of this taskforce.
The Department does not anticipate any financial impact from this legislation.
