FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB 218
2024 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This legislation clarifies the time period for a medical examination for cardiovascular, respiratory or cancer disease, adjusts
the frequency of medical exams for active duty firefighters, and requires an exit medical examination after employment as
a firefighter. There is no cost to the department as a result of this legislation.
