FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. SB71
2023 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
The bill will have no fiscal impact to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs as the bill does not require the
department to put the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF) in a training or volunteer status. This bill enables ASDF members
to be paid when ordered into active service by the Governor or by the Adjutant General as the Governor's designee. Any
future fiscal impact that would result from this change would be put forward each year in the department budget request.
Therefore, the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is submitting a zero fiscal note.
