FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. 33-LS0407\A
2023 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
HB69 will add new section AS 29.04.045 to change the procedures for reclassifying a first-class city to a second-class city.
The current procedure is outlined in AS 29.04.040. The bill would not affect the procedure for reclassification of home rule
cities and first-class cities with populations over 400.
The Division of Community and Regional Affairs does not anticipate fiscal impact from this legislation.
