FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB 57
2024 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill would include Emergency Medical Services (EMS) organizations in AS 18.23.030 which provides confidentiality,
protection from subpoena, and discovery to review organizations. This law essentially provides protections for quality
assurance and patient case review activities to include Emergency Medical Services (EMS) along with other predefined
defined healthcare groups and organizations.
There is no direct programmatic impact, therefore, this is a zero fiscal note.
