Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature,
concerning Senate Bill No. 45, raising the minimum age to purchase, sell, exchange, or
possess tobacco, a product containing nicotine, or an electronic smoking product; relating to
selling a tobacco product; relating to possession of tobacco, electronic smoking products, or
products containing nicotine by a person under 21 years of age; relating to the definition of
"nicotine"; relating to transporting tobacco, a product containing nicotine, or an electronic
smoking product; relating to the taxation of electronic smoking products; relating to electronic
smoking products; relating to the marketing of electronic smoking products; and relating to
tobacco products.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:
That under Rule 54, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the provisions of
Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, regarding
changes to the title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of Senate Bill No. 45, raising the
minimum age to purchase, sell, exchange, or possess tobacco, a product containing nicotine,

or an electronic smoking product; relating to selling a tobacco product; relating to possession
of tobacco, electronic smoking products, or products containing nicotine by a person under 21
years of age; relating to the definition of "nicotine"; relating to transporting tobacco, a product
containing nicotine, or an electronic smoking product; relating to the taxation of electronic
smoking products; relating to electronic smoking products; relating to the marketing of
electronic smoking products; and relating to tobacco products.
