STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. CSHB 392
2022 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
CSHB 392(HSS) allows advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and physician assistants (PAs) to issue or revoke do not
resuscitate orders, sign death certificates, and issue lifesustaining procedures the same way as physicians can under
current law.
This legislation will require the division to adopt regulations. The cost of the regulation project will be absorbed in the
division's existing budget.
Professional licensing programs within the Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing are primarily
funded by Receipt Supported Services, fund source 1156 Rcpt Svcs (DGF). Licensing fees for each occupation are set per AS
08.01.065 so the total amount of revenue collected approximately equals the occupations actual regulatory costs.
