FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. SB 161
2022 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill changes the definition of a political party to be an organization that has at least 5,000 registered voters in the
state. The current minimum requirement for a qualifying political party is equal to 3% of the total votes cast for statewide
offices for preceding elections.
Passage of this legislation will have no fiscal impact on the division.
