FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. CSHB 125(L&C)
2022 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill extends employment preferences for veterans to include spouses and dependent children of veterans, former
prisoner of war, and deceased service members. It includes a definition of deceased service members, spouses and
dependent children. It does not change current practice or requirements but rather extends it to the families.
2 AAC 07.106 would need to be amended to include the spouse or dependent children. This change would need to be
approved the Personnel Board at the next meeting after the bill is signed. The Division of Personnel does not anticipate
any additional cost due to this change and therefore submits a zero-fiscal note.
