STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB 47
2021 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
HB 47 renames the "Alaska Native Language Preservation and Advisory Council" to the "Council for Alaska Native
Languages" and increases the number of voting members from five (5) to seven (7).
The Alaska Native Language Preservation and Advisory Council meets at least twice a year, in person or telephonically. If
this bill passes, the Division of Community and Regional Affairs will require an additional $10.0 in travel per year for the
two additional members to travel to two meetings per year at a cost of $2.5 per trip.
