FOR AN ACT ENTITLED
1 "An Act establishing November as Alaska Native Heritage Month."
2 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:
3 * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to read:
4 Sec. 44.12.157. Alaska Native Heritage Month. The month of November
5 each year is established as Alaska Native Heritage Month. Alaska Native Heritage
6 Month may be observed by schools, community groups, and other public and private
7 agencies and individuals with appropriate activities to honor and recognize the
8 contributions made by Alaska Natives in the history of this state and the United States.
